The new Bavaria Cruiser 45 is the flagship for mid-size yachts. The design highlights include, predictably, the largest bathing platform in her class, electrically raised and lowered (very James Bond) and twin rudders. With so much beam aft, twin rudders are necessary to ensure predictable steering at higher angles of heel, which a centreline single rudder could only achieve through a very deep draft. The added bonus, is that while this extremely robust dual Lewmar system is unlikely to ever give problems, the rudders can be used independently in the event of a steering failure on one side. This yacht is cavernous below decks available as a 4 double cabin, 3 head and shower version, with interior joinery this spacious and ergonomic yacht is a true piece of art.
